When Steve and I decided to take up the Expat lifestyle we knew our traditional jobs were not going to come with us. We had to embrace the remote work/digital nomad market. Working as a non-resident is not an option in Costa Rica so it’s either start/buy a business or work remotely for a company based outside of Costa Rica. I was immediately on board with remote work but Steve was more skeptical. With the house sold and the pups in toe we head off to San Jose to start our Expat life…jobless. Well regardless of his cynicism of getting a remote work job Steve picked up an amazing job right away, before we even got to our rental in Tamarindo. Shortly after him I also picked up a part-time remote work position that has turned into a great, flexible job in marketing. I have now found that Costa Rica is one of the best places to work remotely.
